2014

The Mill was open to visitors on the weekend of 20th & 21st September as part of the Open House London programme.
It was, once again, most successful in attracting over 500 visitors each of whom received a guided tour.
Teas, coffee, soft drinks, cakes, biscuits and hot-dogs, information from experts on mills were all available to add to the experience of the visit.
Over £1000 was collected for the Charities Demelza House & St Christopher's Hospice.

A very BIG 'thank you' to all who came, and to those, too numerous to name, who HELPED in so many different ways to make it another success.

You didn't make it this year, after all?  Pity.  We look forward to seeing you next year!

DID YOU COME?

These openings have been the most successful yet, attracting some 100s of visitors, many of whom received a guided tour of the Mill.  For those who came but couldn't visit the Mill, it was still possible to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the occasion on the Mill lawn with 'tea and cakes' provided by many volunteers.  The weather can be was very favourable!

As before, the Mill was open in order to generate support for two local charities, Demelza House and St Chistopher's Hospice, and due to the generosity of those who came, over £1500 was collected for distribution to them.  A BIG 'THANK YOU' to all those who supported the event, by providing, serving and clearing up after the 'tea & cakes'.  In particular, thanks are due to Kathleen, Tricia, Janice, Wendy, Janet, Biddy as Demelza House 'Volunteers', and several others, including family and friends.
